Valhal Outdoor’s scrub mat, the chain mail cleaner, is a handy tool for cleaning your cast iron pans. The braided stainless steel rings allow you to easily remove caked-on food residue without damaging the patina of your pan or using detergent in the process. The scrub mat can be reused countless times and is very easy to clean.

Use

1. Allow your cast iron pan to cool completely after use
2. Then fill it with hot water (note, never leave water in your cast iron pan for a long time)
3. Use the VH12CM to scrub the food residue out of your pan, do not use detergents.
4. Then rinse your pan well and dry.
5. Optionally, you can rub the pan with the VH.WAX after use, for the care of your cast iron.
6. Be sure to always let your cast iron pan dry completely before storing it again.
